Balcony installation

This balcony commission has been several months in the offing, but finally last week we installed it, along with these forged railings for some great clients in Twickenham, South London. The cantilevered design was structurally challenging and a precision fit was essential to maintain the seamless transition of the new porcelain tiles that will flow down the stairs and over the new patio.

The balcony was installed using a spider crane with each upright individually screwed into the frame through a forged detail that runs throughout. The design features forged and fire welded radiating arcs with a bespoke forged handrail section that has a wonderfully tactile feel.
