“Cowshed” Bespoke Metal Balustrade

This bespoke metal balustrade provided the finishing touch to the staircase in this newly built Sussex house. The design of this contemporary  forged railing maximises the stair width and shows off the fantastic plastic qualities of hot forged metal. As with many of our projects we also made ingenious custom hydraulic press tooling  to produce the fixing details.

The handrail on this bespoke metal balustrade comprised of over 6m of custom steel section which we forged down on our industrial power hammers, this not only gave a completely unique look but also a wonderfully tactile  when walking up and down the stairs.  Lewes, 2016
