This modern estate railing forms the boundary of this newly landscaped Sussex patio. The fantastic downland views beyond meant that our design needed to be both unobtrusive and light of touch. The linear nature of the railing complimenting the aluminium louvers that shade the patio. The clients wanted to maximise the available space on the patio and so we suggested a side fix with a “joggle” to pass around the edge of the stonework. The iron uprights in this modern estate railing feature subtle hot punched details through which we have passed the horizontal round bars.
The metalwork has been galvanised and patinated giving a naturally weathered look that is a little softer in appearance.
