James Price, Sussex based Blacksmith & Designer

I am a blacksmith specialising in original forged metalwork. 

My work combines the age old techniques of the blacksmiths tradition with contemporary design and fine craftsmanship.

Much of the inspiration for my work comes from the construction and joining methods that feature so strongly in this ancient craft.

Over the years my clients have grown to include architects, interior designers as well as private individuals, in fact anyone who appreciates craftsmanship and has an eye for detail.

Recent commissions have included a wide range of architectural forgework- gates, lighting, railings as well as more sculptural pieces and public art.
I also design and make interior wrought ironwork such as door furniture, candlesticks and a range of fire tools and fire baskets.

My work is bespoke and is made and fitted to the highest standard, innovative design and traditional craftsmanship are forged together.
