These Bespoke swimming pool gates are being carefully hand forged at the moment in or workshop. Our client has commissioned a pair of these for a new pool in a East Sussex property near Lewes. The gates will be installed in two openings in an old and well established Yew hedge. The design for these bespoke swimming pool gates is based on a previous project for a townhouse in Primrose Hill, West London. Whilst we don’t often remake past designs if a client really loves a past piece who are we to say no.
The gate motifs feature lots of highly skilled hand forged techniques with the elegant branch details based on plant stems. Each of these has been carefully fire welded together, ensuring fluid lines and an elegant silhouette.
We have made swimming pool gates before but not for many years, the last pair was more expressive in design and featured diving otters and swirling water. This pair of gates draw on a different design vocabulary, understated Georgian elegance is the name of the game here, maybe combined with a glass of Rose and a quick dip…..
