We forge our iron fire dogs using traditional blacksmith techniques. This ensures that the fire dogs, or andirons as they are sometimes known, are not only beautiful to look at but also extremely well made and reflect the rich heritage of wrought ironwork .
This particular design was inspired by the wonderfully fluid movement found within much art nouveau. The iron has a unique tactile quality from the forging process, each hammer blow and heat in the fire has left its mark. As with all our work we meticulously hand make each element in our rural Sussex forge.
