This modern forged fire basket is part of the “Continuous line” series. This is a recent body of work that explores forging and bending within the parameters of a single line. The design of this contemporary fire basket combines simplicity and function with heritage craft skills. Each of the cross bars features an octagonal forging. These in turn have been meticulously tenoned and riveted to the frame.
The result is a design which manages to be simple in form whilst being complex in construction and craftsmanship. Towards the ends of the basket the bars are slightly raised to ensure logs remain in the hearth.
The modern forged fire basket as with most of our work, is available in any size and made to order.
