The Newick staircase balustrade was designed as part of a comprehensive redevelopment of this Sussex family home. The original wooden staircase and handrails had more than a touch of the 1970’s about them. So our clients were seeking a lighter and less dominant balustrade solution. The uprights are forged into an octagonal section with the handrail comprising of a bespoke forged profile which is wonderfully tactile. The handrails in turn flow into the uprights at the base of the stairs, giving a unified feel to the piece.
Forged steel with a burnished and waxed finish. West Sussex 2021.
