Sculptural lights- “Stack”

These modern sculptural lights capture the full force of the blacksmithing process. A stack of overlapping steel blanks have been riveted together and  then forged under one of our  large industrial power hammers. This process  gives a wonderfully solid base that captures the plasticity of hot metal. The force of the impact  permanently deforms the steel blanks leaving an indelible mark on the base of these sculptural lights.

The shade is comprised of overlapping textured steel plate that has been carefully offset, thus gives a subtle diffused light, emphasising the form. Woven yellow flex completes the contemporary look.
