For over 20 years we have been designing and making some of the finest Wrought iron gates found throughout Sussex. Our forge was originally based in Hurstpierpoint, nestled below the South Downs but as the years passed the business grew and the projects got larger. So in 2012 we moved to our current Workshop in East Chiltington, a small village just outside Lewes in East Sussex.
Wrought iron gates, thoughtfully designed with meticulous attention to detail have always formed one of the cornerstones of our creative journey. That timeless mix of utility, form and function has always appealed. The fact that gates mark the transition between spaces makes them a unique design challenge. For us its less about keeping things out but rather celebrating the space created within.
We design and forge wrought iron gates in a wide variety of styles and our work can be found throughout East Sussex, West Sussex and beyond. Gathered below are a collection of some of my favourite gate commissions. Some of these gates are statement pieces, some are a little more understated but all combine exquisite craftsmanship with thoughtful design thats built to last generations. Iron is such a wonderful material, strong, resilient and yet malleable and expressive too.
